Workshop Description: In this 2-hour workshop, you will learn how to start a podcast from the ground up. Get a high-level overview, and then deep dive into the major aspects of podcasting, such as the show foundation, how to structure an episode, which equipment to buy, and how to launch. The show foundation will explore choosing a podcast topic, co-hosts, and more. The show structure will break down all the elements contained inside an episode. Then, selecting mics, mixers, software, and hosting providers will be explored. Finally, you will learn how to get your podcast listed on directories such as iTunes, Spotify, iHeartRadio, and more. Plus! The final hour is a hands-on experience, getting to use some equipment in the classroom!
About the Instructors: Zorric Sia is a Dallas native who loves all things audio and technology. While studying at Dallas Comedy House, he started a podcast, which quickly gained listeners in over 100 countries and every major US city. After his podcast experience, Zorric began helping individuals across the DFW metroplex start their podcasting journeys. He currently serves as a podcast mentor and coach at Hello Studios located in downtown Dallas.
