Level One Short Form Improv
8-Week Course + Final Grad Show
Saturdays Oct. 15th – Dec. 10th (skipping Nov 26)
Grad Show: Sunday DEC 11th , TBD PM
Silly games, belly laughs, and healthy competition: this is what short form improv is all about! It’s the same kind of improv you see on Who’s Line is it Anyway? This class will explore the different genres of short form improv games and go over the underlying concepts that make them successful and fun; for you and for your audience. With repeated practice and coaching, you’ll familiarize yourself with the tactics and techniques to make you and your new teammates look like comedic geniuses onstage and off. Encouraging 100% commitment onstage, we’ll help you remove the blocks that stop spontaneity, and together we’ll learn how to make scenes and games funny and engaging for everyone involved. Step outside your comfort zone to challenge yourself and release your spontaneity.
The instructor is Chris Hansen.
