IN-PERSON IMPROV WORSHOP
‘That’ll Never Work’ with Jacie Hood
One-Day Workshop Event
No Experience Required – Open to All!
Sunday February 20, 2022
Workshop Description: Always seem to have great ideas for sketches, but not sure how you can stage that 40-foot dinosaur? Explore the magic of creative props, staging, sounds, lighting, and more, which can all be used to make your weird and impossible ideas come to life.
This one-day, in-person workshop will be held on Sunday, February 20, 2022 (2:30-3:30PM). The instructor is Jacie Hood.
What to Bring: Bring at least one “out there” script or beat sheet to this workshop and walk away with ideas on how to make it work!
About the Instructor: Jacie Hood (she/they) is a comedy aficionado and theatre artist with a passion for teaching and busting out showtunes no one wants to hear. They have been studying intimacy direction since 2017 and have become a major advocate for consent culture in performance as well as diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility.
All students must adhere to student policies as described in the Dallas Comedy Club Student Handbook. Workshop sizes are limited to allow for optimal instruction and student development.
