SKETCH CONSERVATORY
You’ve written great sketches, now get them onstage! Our Sketch Conservatory is the capstone level of our Sketch program and is designed to teach our students not just how to be excellent writers, but how to be producers who exude confidence and inspire greatness in others. Students gain hands-on experience working in various roles in production including costume design, lighting, stage management, directing, and more! The class culminates in an original sketch show of students’ material written in previous sketch courses at DCC. Over the course of the class, students learn how to collaborate within a production team from show inception all the way to the wrap party!
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
- Successful completion of Intro to Sketch and Level 2 Sketch at Dallas Comedy Club
- Sketch packet formatted to application requirements
- Letter of recommendation from a DCC Sketch instructor
- Completed online application

Sketch Cram is DCC’s sketch competition series where we challenge 5 writers to create, produce, cast, & direct a brand new sketch inspired by one word in just one week! The audience votes for their favorite sketch of the night to advance to the finals.
The winner gets swag, bragging rights, a free class @ DCC (up to $400 value), and a two-show run of their own on our Mainstage Theater!
