‘Mastering the ‘Game’ of Sketch’ with Aaron Figueroa

Workshop Description: Elements of ‘Game’ are present in every sketch piece from SNL to I Think You Should Leave. This workshop trains students to look for the one unusual thing within the scene and identify if the “Game” is strong enough to explore for 1-4 pages. Are you exploring different angles of your game that allows your audience to know what’s coming next, but they’re still surprised? Is your piece building momentum toward your next joke? Learn what to look out for to make your piece more cohesive and structured to deliver the funny!

This two-hour, virtual class will be held via Zoom on Saturday, March 12, 2022 (12:00-2:00PM). The instructor is Aaron Figueroa.

All students must adhere to student policies as described in the Dallas Comedy Club Student Handbook. Virtual class sizes are limited to allow for optimal instruction and student development. Students must be 18 years or older to enroll and participate. All sales are final and classes are non-refundable.
