You’ve been working on your material and performing regularly for a while! You write great jokes, but what steps should you take to make stand-up comedy your career? Join us for this 4-week course exploring the business side of comedy. Learn how to develop your own brand through social media strategies, merchandising, and networking. This class covers financial topics such as the etiquette of negotiating pay and how to make your shows profitable. Explore the intricacies of getting booked as well booking comics for shows you are producing.
The course fee includes two (2) headshots and a feedback session where students review their branding strategy with the course instructor. This course is intended for participants who have been writing and performing stand-up regularly.
This class is four weekly sessions running from Monday, July 10th to July 31st. The instructor is CJ Starr. All sales are final. Classes are non-refundable. All students must adhere to policies in the Dallas Comedy Club Student Handbook. Must be 18 years or older to enroll and participate.
