April 10-May 15, 2022

You did it! You wrote and performed a three minute set in front of a live audience! You rock! Now it’s time to build on that momentum and keep the party going! In this level, students will not only expand on their sets, but also learn the ins and outs of the business of stand-up: the right way to contact theaters, how to get yourself booked, and proper stage etiquette that will help you continue to get booked! You will also work on strengthening your set; a tight five to ten is essential for being a successful stand-up comic. Whether you’re doing open mics, booking shows, or even submitting for festivals, it is imperative to have a well-developed set that can be delivered with confidence and ease. Students will receive personalized feedback with a focus on stage presence, storytelling, and joke set up. Students will emerge from this class feeling confident and ready to perform a memorable set.
This is a six-session class running from Sunday, April 10 – Sunday, May 15, 2022 (1:00-4:00PM). The instructor is Nick Cutelli.
This class will meet on the following dates: Apr 10, Apr 17, Apr 24, May 1, May 8, and May 15th. The class graduation show will be Saturday, May 21st at 4:00PM.
