The Student Ambassador program is designed for students who have a passion for people and want to dig deeper into subjects they have previously studied. Student Ambassadors participate in class being sure to keep an extra eye and ear open to ensure every student has the best possible experience at DCC. In exchange, Student Advocates get to form a mentor relationship with the course instructor, and can participate in the class for free!
No! Dallas Comedy Club does not offer teaching assistant positions. Our instructors are highly qualified and are able to give our students all the feedback they need.
Prospective instructors will be placed in classes as auditors, not as Student Ambassadors.
Prospective instructors should fill out an application here! Being a Student Ambassador is not a prerequisite or precursor to teaching at Dallas Comedy Club. Instructor applicants who have successfully completed an interview process will be assigned a class to audit.
Did you love a class so much you want to take it again? Maybe you want to try a class again with another instructor! Being a Student Ambassador is perfect for you!
Student Ambassadors assist the class by taking attendance, tracking class attendance at shows, and jam/mic attendance when applicable. Student Ambassadors are placed in beginner-level classes to help newer students get comfortable at Dallas Comedy Club and to make sure they are getting the most out of their class experience.
Student Ambassadors get all other student perks, like priority placement at open mics and free admission to most DCC shows.
