Prerequisite: Advanced Stand-Up -or- Successful Application

You’ve got fifteen minutes of material from Intro and Advanced Stand-Up classes. You’re working hard on writing and refining material and want to break through to the next level. Now what? Join us for this business-focused class to learn how to take your stand-up career from a hobby to a career! This course will take you through the process of creating your brand, networking with bookers, and being a courteous performer. If you dream of performing in clubs and theaters across the country but don’t know how to navigate the stand-up business this class is for you!

This class is open to all stand-up performers, but is recommended for those who have been performing for a minimum of six (6) months. If you have never performed stand-up comedy we recommend completing Intro to Stand-Up prior to enrolling in this course. Taking this class does not guarantee placement in higher level stand-up courses. If you have not previously completed Advanced Stand-Up at Dallas Comedy Club, please fill out this application.

This course does not have a graduation show, but instead include projects involving actionable items to further your career.

This class is eight weekly sessions running from April 7, 2024 to May 26, 2024. The instructor is Magen King. All sales are final. Classes are non-refundable. All students must adhere to policies in the Dallas Comedy Club Student Handbook. Must be 18 years or older to enroll and participate.
