Week Six: Objectwork/Enviroment

What We Learned

  • Objectwork/enviroment – We took the lessons we learned about object work last week and started applying it to the environment we create in a scene.  By doing this, we can paint a more dynamic picture for ourselves and the audience. By establishing objects in the space, this can inform our characters and situation and also be a tether on which to return to by doing additional objectowork.

Additional Notes

  • Remember even though you’re doing space work, that doesn’t have to be the main focal point of the scene. It should be about you and your scene partner and the relationship between you.
  • Also if you start doing joining objects work and have not labeled it yet and your scene partner labels it as something else. That’s what it is. We practiced this with the “hey what are you doing?” exercise.
